Received one as a gift several years ago. Love that one, but you know you see a really "cute and darling" feeder in the store, picture how nice it would look in your flower bed or garden. Once you get it filled...it leaks all over. This feeder (my old one) has never leaked, is easy to clean and is made well. So I went looking for the same type of feeder and found this one. It does not leak, comes apart easily for cleaning and is well made. The cylinder holds 2 cups of nectar, so it is not huge, but I like to only mix small amount of nectar....keeping it fresh. My only regret is that I did not buy 2 of them!

Like that it's only 16 oz which minimizes the potential build up of fungus, yuck. I'd bought 2. I find the bottom between awkward & difficult to open. It has push down & turn tabs:( which operate counter-clockwise. Visually the bottle appears empty but there is still water in the reservoir. Debatable if I'd purchase again. On the plus side is the easy clean, on the, IMO, negative side is the awkwardness / difficulty of removing the reservoir & not being able to visually determine if it has more liquid remaining. Waste of time replacing feeding solution when there's still liquid available. And, my other bottles have a flat bottom so they can sit on a flat surface while you pour your liquid into it; this bottle does not. So far the plastic hanging tabs have stood up to the wind movement. Was & still am hesitant of their durability.Read full review

I purchased my original feeder like this about 7 years ago. Since then its hard to find this particular design, and it happens to be my favorite. The new design has narrow little slats, which they claims to keep bees away, but its not true. I prefer this particular design. The opening on this feeder allows hummingbirds and other birds to feed equally well. Both hummingbirds, orioles and other colorful birds can get to the nectar or sugar water. I make my own by dissolving 1 cup sugar in 4 cups water - do not need any coloring the birds like the clear sweet sugar water just as well. If you want to make it sweeter, mix 1 cup sugar with 3 cups water. This mix lasts at least a week with refills on 3 feeders....

Have used one like this for several years and it has always been excellent. The birds love it and especially like having a place to stand and drink instead of hovering. It holds about 2 cups so it will last for several days before refilling. It is easy to clean and refill. Highly recommend this feeder to all.

This will be the 6th I have purchased. Great Feeders. I wish they also offered a Glass Bottle version. HUMMER SAFETY NOTICE: Be sure to file open the 4 flat elliptical Tabs & create a wider opening between the Tab & the circular perch Ring to about 3/16th of an inch. The gap as manufactured is too narrow & Hummers have been known to trap a Leg or Foot in the tight gap & struggle to their death! After this modification, a true outstanding Hummer Feeder.
