This is a good overall book on Marx trains to start off with. Pretty good information on tin and prototypes - R&D, but somewhat skimpy on color pics. It has 174 pages of some good information to get you aquainted with Marx. It also has sections toward the end on Plastic and HO, with a taste of British Marx and the Marx accessory line. I bought this book and still have it for reference. However new information has come to light since the writing of this book. This is one of the earlier books on Marx trains. This is not a bad book and since all guides are scarce, better take the one you can get and upgrade later, if you need to.
It’s amazing the low prices Marx commanded back then! Still a good reference book. Marx collecting has come a long way.
