I would recommend this job if you are handy and have basic tools. You'll need a metric socket set that goes up to 19mm, Phillips Screwdriver, pliers for the hose clamps. It took me the better part of a day just because you need to tear down the whole machine but nothing was difficult. Make sure you order the 6 spider arm bolts - at least one will break taking them out of the old corroded spider. They are special bolts with a cone shaped seat so you really need the oem ones to do the job correctly

After purchase the part was shipped and arrived fairly fast and a day earlier then expected. Although when UPS dropped it off I noticed the box looked like it was re-tapped. This could have just been a bad tape job though from shipping. The part had 2 broken tabs on the end and scrapes/dents all over. It may be ok but I'm sure the manufacturer added the tabs for a reason and missing 2 of 3 along with the dents and scrapes may effect it's balance or something. I figured it was UPS's fault possibly from throwing the package and the part came out but I remembered the part was wrapped extremely well in bubble wrap all around. After inspecting the bubble wrap none of the bubbles were really broken and no broken pieces found inside so I'm not sure how it could have broke during shipping unless they re-wrapped it in bubble wrap and re-sealed the box. This makes me thinkit was shipped like this which is extremely disappointing since my washer has already been MIA for 1 week and waiting another week or two for this issue to be resolved and a new part to be shipped is really not acceptable. Laundry mats are expensive for a large family and now I kind of wish I ordered it from someone else who took better care at inspection and shipping. Made my washer like new again! It took a few hours to disassemble everything and install the new part but I definitely prefer paying just over $100 for a new part vs. buying a whole new washer. If I can get another 10 years out of this, it's truly money well spent.

I think all the front loader manufactures had a summit and planned out this poorly designed part. It' aluminum and after 8-10 years guaranteed to fail. If they designed it better with some simple modifications the washer would last a lot longer!

Correct fit, no problems, recommend getting new six bolts for the install. The metal ss drum rotated without any wobble after the install.
