It is very sturdy and of high quality materials. I wish that the handle was made differently in a way that you could grip it easier like the grips on a snow shovel.

A Good aerator will cost you a good $300. This is good substitute, however this item is not quick and easy. The area I have to aerate is small so it took a good portion of the day to complete. If you have greater than 5K sq.ft., this item will take you a considerable amount of time. It can be done, but if you can afford a much more convenient purchase buying a real aerator that is more like a lawn mower that automatically does the work for you. This will take way less time and much more worth the added funds to get the job done quick and easy.

Wish I would of rented an aerator from a Home Depot because this hand aerator barely scratches the surface. The spikes are sharp and dangerous around grandkids. Save your money. My son bought this shoes that have spikes on the bottom—-they don’t work either! The ground was soft from watering too.

If the ground was softer I am sure it would work. The product is well made. The issue is apparent when the ground is hard. Even if you push and lean forward, though may struggle to see any holes from the tool. In retrospect, it is better to rent one. They work well, and easier on the back.

Very flimsy.....first time for using it and the cross bars bent, made of to thin of material. Will not aerate soil that does not have any vegetation of it....would not recommend to any one. I must reinforce the cross bars with additional material before I can use it...
