As others describe the performance is nowhere near 150 Mbps. Going through a couple interior walls I get about 20 Mbps. A few feet from the router I get around 50 Mbps. This is decent for single board computer projects that don't need 5 GHz performance. For Armbian I had to build the driver for a rtl8188fu. The actual device is a "Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTL8188FTV 802.11b/g/n 1T1R 2.4G WLAN Adapter"

After some searching I found driver 1030.6.1201.2015 which solved all my reliability issues. Before that the adapter would disconnect randomly. For instance trying to download games from epic it would get a few hundred megs in and then disconnect. The only way to reconnect was to unplug and replug the adapter. With the driver I found I was able to download games with 10s of gigs of data without disconnects. Speed isn't great, and or range. Getting me half the download speed of higher quality adapters. However in my use case of connecting an older pc to the internet for browsing, youtube, and updates it is fine. If that is similar to your use case I recommend this product. Bottom line it's Ok. It's not great but it's not bad. Cons: You have to source some drivers. Very unreliable with default drivers. Speed isn't great. I have a 200mbs connection. I get 40 down with this. A much better adapter gets me 80 with the pc in the same location. Doesn't work with linux out of the box if that's what you need. Pros: Once drivers are sorted It's probably the cheapest way to connect a pc without out wifi to your wireless network.Read full review

Not so great for Linux computers. Literally plug and play for Windows definitely discreet and a good value. I would buy again I'm just disappointed about the Linux not working with it. You have to make sure you can hook up wifi using Linux before you buy this. If your Linux is wifi capable you might have good luck. We didn't.

Very slow. I do not recommend buying it. I have 200mbs/second and this downloads at 7 mega bytes per second two feet away from the router.

These get very slow speeds. I can run SpeedTest with two computers side by side. Same make model and everything. The one with this adapter gets 10-20mb download speed and the one with a name brand WiFi adapter gets 350mb download speed. I would not recommend these in any way.
