I've used this on 9-volt, "AA," & "D" batteries. The "D" batteries are a bit fat for the space, but I still got an accurate reading. I found it helps to have the entire unit resting on a table when I test the battery. Otherwise, the battery tends to slip out. I got readings of "good," "fair," & "no good." All seemed accurate.

Great little tool! Not just a "voltage" device - which is often very misleading; this Tester (just like the big professional units costing much more) also puts a test-load on the battery to mimic how the battery will perform in duty. If you use batteries, this will pay for itself quickly, and help eliminate guesswork.

The perfect item to have in your box of spare batteries. It will check a battery quickly and effectively. So far, I have not had a good battery indicate that it is bad or a bad battery indicate that it is good. It is well made for the price and well worth it for the confidence it will give you that a battery indeed needs to be replaced. I recommend it.

I like it ok it works but you have to hold batteries just right to make sure they are in place to be tested. I have another one I like better But yes this one does work.
