I bought this because I had an old intercom system that had a lot of static when I used the talk/listen function. I opened the unit and sprayed the circuit board and around the resistors and potentiometers. I noticed no residue left on board . Dried instantly. But most importantly, it cleared up the static crackling previously heard over the speaker. I'm very satisfied with this product.

Product is good for general use, not for an electronics repair bench. I used this on some new wafer switches that were laying out and had been lightly covered with pollen (time of year, not outside, all inside work). this stuff dried it out the Bakelite so badly until i had to use regular wd-40 to make the Bakelite swell back up so the contacts would touch. It may be good as a general use, 110 outlets, and other around the home, but for sensitive electronics, NO WAY! guess we will have to stick with Deoxit.

I didn't know WD40 made this item, so far seems to do the trick for my 32 Chanel mixer, this is $10,000 unit so I was not sure this Product would even work, but boy did it WORK! this saved me big money by being able to clean the faders myself. this mixer is over 250 lbs with out the road case so this was a big help. this item was so easy to use, and it did not harm the mixer, chanel, or the track, nor the painted surface, I would buy this item from this point on.

If you are familiar with the WD product line, you already know what you want. This is a high quality, top performing product, and WD 40's proprietary delivery system is first rate. Let's face it contact cleaning isn't glamorous stuff, but when you can bring that vintage amp or receiver, or whatever electronic goody you are trying to resuscitate back to life, you simply can't bet this stuff. Clean "pots" better than leading dishwashing liquid! :) sorry, couldn't help myself.

My wife has been frustrated by the volume control on an old radio in our kitchen because it makes a scratchy noise when you turn it up an down. She also had the same problem on her karaoke machine. It was a bit tricky getting to the back of the controls but once I did all it took was one squirt and they work good as new! Now I have enough left over to do a thousand more controls!
