Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best Selling in LCR Meters & Impedance Analyzers
I bought this LCR ESR meter primarily for measuring Equivalent Series Resistance (ESR) for capacitors, but it also tests resistors quite accurately (both types test very close to results on my Fluke and Brymen meters), as well as diodes/LEDs, transistors and induction/coils. Pretty amazing little device. It comes with no instructions but it's pretty simple to figure out: if the item being tested has two leads, insert in any two different numbered slots -- if three leads, use any three different numbered slots. It's that easy -- the device will figure out what it is and what the leads are. Only downside is that it will struggle with testing LEDs of 10w or more in that some it will 'understand' and others it will show as a bad device (even tho it's not). I suspect it may have problems with other high-current diodes as some have mentioned for similar devices but I have not tested any of those and the ones I did test it handled fine. The three supplied clip leads are very low quality but do work fine ...the extra crimp pins provided can be used to make higher quality leads if so inclined. Overall, a great little tester at an excellent price. Oh, it also charges very fast via it's USB (provided) cable. What's not to like?!Read full review

I found this tester so useful on my hobby electronics bench that I bought a second one for work. Calling it a transistor tester doesn't do it justice. It will test any two or three lead component. I found it especially useful for capacitors because it measures ESR at the same time. Be aware that it can give goofy results when measuring transistors in circuit. The test leads that come with it are a bit sketchy and should be replaced with some high quality leads and clips. I soldered my leads to a 3-pin header to make them easier to connect to the tester. I also use a rubber band to hold the lever on the ZIF socket down, since it tends to pop up at inopportune moments.

This is a fantastic little component tester. I have a number of DMMs but was looking for something specifically to test MOSFETs. This not only does that, but BJ transistors, inductors, capacitors, resistors, zener diodes and LEDs as well. Best of all there's no need to know what you're testing. Just hook it up and the tester figures out what is connected, displays multiple parameters and shows a schematic symbol of the part! I'll be buying another so I can have one at work as well as home. Highly recommended.

These things have a totally awesome feature set for the price. But they are a bit on the delicate side. Please, Please, download the user manual PDF and be very certain that your capacitors are discharged before testing. I had to order a second unit because I roasted my first one in less than ten minutes! 4 volts max or you'll be sorry.

I must admit I was sceptical about this item in comparison to other more expensive brands, but then I charged it. I tested a few transistors and found out that I'm not perfect (found some that I had previously tested that were actually bad) So in a nutshell... If you're looking for a good affordable tester and don't want to fork out a lot of money this is the answer! So far I'm quite pleased and recommend it.
