I volunteer at a food bank in Clearwater, Florida, and we have a machine that makes the client ID cards. It is hooked up to the old database and has been working fine for years. The company that made the color transfer ribbons decided to change the manufacture of the item and use less plastic in the cartridge. It was supposed to work just the same, but the new ones tend to jam up on our old machine and ruin about half of the roll. This was getting expensive and taking a long time to get one ID badge sometimes. The only alternative we were offered was to buy a new machine at about $3000 (which I do not think would work with our old XP based database) or live with the new ribbons. Decided that I had time to look on the internet for some of the old style cartridges and found these. They fit the machine and work just fine, and are actually double the number of badges as the old ones that we were using so that out cost per badge will go down some instead of almost doubling to pay for all of the errors on the inferior cartridges. I bought us a couple of year's supply and we are humming right along.Read full review
