Digitrax Decoders are well built, easy to install and a breeze to program. I've installed 28 of these so far into my locomotives and have not had an issue with any of them. The only problem is once you go with a DCC system, you'll want to convert every locomotive you have. I have about another 15 locomotives to convert. I purchase all of my DCC equipment from Yankee Dabbler. They are always competitively priced and ship their products promptly!
