I’m glad it’s not just a run through of just the stuff from the podcast but a whole fleshed out world to explore I also really like the beautiful map that it comes with. It feels balanced for play in any 5e campaign if you wanted to use the classes, monsters, and such in a different setting the major settlements are really well done and feel very full and complete. I’d recommend this for people who love the podcast obviously but also for anyone who wants to run a home brew game with a great story but is struggling with creating the world since it’s a very open and free setting without being too different from other fantasy settings that it’s feel weird inserting a traditional heroic journey type story into it.

I'm a latecomer to Critical Role and the prices for he Tal'Dorei campaign setting are a little pricey. This has been fairly serious damage to the cover but the book is functionally intact and readable including the map in the back has never been removed. A clear contact paper book cover and some forceful bending the cover back in place and it should arrest any further damage. So for a quarter of the price I've seen other places I now own a perfectly useful campaign book.

While intended for D&D 5e it can EASILY be adapted to nearly any RPG. I still use Pathfinder 1e. I’ve already planned to use the info here to help flesh out my own campaign world.
