The belt itself is not a problem it is the design of the machine that is the problem. The design allows this belt to continuously rub on itself causing high friction therefore making it stretch and break Example my carpet is only 12 x 12 and a new belt I had bought from you broke before I had completely finished. So therefore I don't blame the belt I blame the manufacture of this product. Even a simple minded person knows when rubber rubs on rubber it causes friction and the rubber itself will stretch and break.

Product is described as "genuine" but it is not. it does fit on the carpet cleaner but I found that it failed very quickly. I ordered one from a supplier on Amazon and it had "Hoover" written on the belt and appears to be much better quality. At least for far it has not failed after several weeks of use.
