I was skeptical about the “mother of pearl” face. I didn’t want anything too flashy or garish. It was perfect. It isn’t that noticeable. It really just brightens the face and looks better than the basic white. This is a great value for a hard to find watch. I did have to remove a few links (and I’m a plus size gal). I went to YouTube and it was a fairly simple process. I would absolutely recommend this watch to anyone looking for the traditional bracelet Timex watch. The only disappointing thing is that it is not an indiglo- there is no backlight. Other than that it is a perfect purchase.

The watch is a bit heavy but once it's on the weight is not an issue. Still getting used to the bracelet type band but that will be okay too. The watch is very pretty I think with the white pearlized background.

It would be nice if the tool to take the band apart was shipped with it, I had to take out 7 links for my wife, and the tool I paid extra for won't be here for another 3 weeks. Watch is nice, she likes it, just the tool part is a turn off.
