This motherboard fired right up with a pair of Opteron 2384's. Booted Ubuntu with no problems. To boot Windows 7 I needed to enable the hpet (high precision event timer ) option in the bios. Ram is cheap picked up 32 gig for 20$. All the sata and sas ports you could ever need. The only issues are the eatx board is big and doesn't fit in all server cases without taking out drive cages. The front panel usb and audio headers are not labeled and I had to find the power switch by trial and error.

Arrived in good time, could have been packaged better, as foam perimeter and single sheet cardboard was clearly bent in transit. Hope it didn't damage the board. I'm slowly acquiring board and HP parts as my budget permits, should be ready in a few months.
