I have a small deck & I like to BBQ year round with charcoal. I realized last fall my old Grill was on its last leg (almost literally) so I started Grill shopping months ago. I considered buying a combo Grill with both gas & charcoal to make winter grilling easier but all of the options I found were either absolutely HUGE or ridiculously expensive. I decided to find a small(ish) Standing Charcoal Grill That had nice features at a decent price. This grill does not disappoint! It took about 45 min to put together-lots Of parts-but even the legs are very solid and well made. There’s a shelf at the bottom and a cooking shelf at the side-all Metal-very Sturdy. The hardware was packaged beautifully and labeled in a way that made assembly much easier. The cooking area is larger than I expected it to be and it has the upper rack for buns or resting steak or for when you’re doing hot dogs & some get done sooner. Do not let the “Mini” in the name fool you this thing is not small like a tabletop grill, it a tad larger than those square standing grills you see everywhere in the summer. It’s got a temperature gauge which is nice for grilling steak & chicken. It’s vented well at the side & has like a chimney that you can close to smoke meats. It has a lift out tray with a grate on the bottom to easily remove used charcoal-which has proven to be very handy. This Grill was everything I was hoping for and then done & it was maybe $15 more than I paid for the bargain Grill I had been using for the past 3 years. Even if I only get a couple seasons out of this one I’ll still be Super happy. Would recommend to anyone looking for a medium sized Standing charcoal grill.Read full review

The instructions are very confusing, holes don't line up being well and metal is very thin. No opening at bottom to clean ash. I do like using it now that is assembled, but I don't expect this to last more than a couple years.

This replaces my rusted out barrel grill of the same physical size and (5 years later) at $20 more in cost. It works very well, there's plenty of control of the heat. It does seem to leak around the top/bottom halves so won't kill the fire and save charcoal the way the old grill did. The construction is cheap IMO. Not the welded seams and quality hardware of the old one. How long it may last is mostly up to the coatings and how long the coal holder lasts before it burns through. Assembly was good for the amount of assembly it requires (a lot) and I doubt anyone can assemble it in less than 1-1/2 hour if it's the first time you've done it. The hardware packaging deserves special mention - by separating all the individual parts and packaging them with the part numbers it makes it very easy to follow the written instructions.Read full review

Takes a little to put together, but it is nice the smoke stack I would like to of seen fit a little better. The legs you have to pay close attention the the picture to make sure you get them in right location. I took apart three times. Lol.

We have a small apartment with outdoor space. Just wanted something small for grilling purposed and did not want to spend a fortune. When I came across this product listing, I thought it was the perfect fit. The directions seemed straightforward, however, no matter what we do, we cannot get the side table to attach to the grill. The holes are absolutely no lining up. This is frustration as we had to leave this feature off and you always need somewhere to put things down when cooking.
