It's always a bit of a gamble when you buy a guitar without playing first, but there were no music store near me that had one to test, and I live in St. Louis, not rural America. You'd think with 3 Guitar Center store all within 20 miles of my house that one of them would have this guitar? Ok, so let's get to my review, I love this guitar. It's a biscuit cone resonator, as opposed to a spider resonator guitar. You can look up the difference online if you don't know. Basically this style of resonator guitar gives you that Delta Blues sound and is better for playing like a regular guitar, as this one has a round neck as opposed to a square neck that is meant to be played horizontally, and preferred by Bluegrass players. A quick note on the neck of this guitar. It's called a round-neck, but it's really a V-shaped neck. That said, it's very easy to play and the action is great on this guitar out of the box. The open back Grover tuners work well and don't slip. Intonation is good across the fingerboard and the Fishman Nashville series pickup that comes pre-installed on this model sounds great even without a preamp. Read full review
