A slim, lightweight, inexpensive, sturdy knife with a universal blade length. It's the most used tool I own (not being a craftsman of any sort). One-handed operation is easy and convenient with this knife. Additionally, it's clean, sleek look means it doesn't appear out of place with any pants I own, save for a suit, maybe. And even if I'm in a suit, the size and thinness of the knife means I can comfortably carry it in an inner jacket pocket. I've owned other EDC knives before and after my first Leek, but they just didn't feel and operate the same. I had to buy a second one after accidentally leaving my first behind on a trip.

I have carried a 1660 for 15 years it holds it's edge under heavy use and is easy to re sharpen when needed.. when it was finally time to replace my old one there was no question what to get. The new one is exactly like my old one was 15 years ago. The flaw/defect that made this one a second is so minute that it is not noticeable on a working knife a great saving on a fine product.

For me it's the perfect EDC "gentleman's" knife -- slim and sturdy, smooth, a pleasure to touch, feel, handle, and use. Razor-sharp drop-point blade. A sliding tip-lock can be engaged to insure that the spring-assist blade doesn't open until it's really wanted. As a "blem", this knife is priced substantially lower than if it were "first quality", and yet I'm unable to detect anything that would qualify as any kind of blemish. Made in USA, it's an incredibly good value and an excellent knife.

Solid knife mechanically. Slim design, nice sharp edge. Sold as "blem" but I couldn't find anything wrong, looks perfect. Highly recommend buyer consider some sort of pocket pouch to help insure this or any Assisted Open style blade stay closed in the pocket. Don't rely on the safety lock alone. For me, the pouch made this an easy every day carry decision. Photos include a leather pouch a skilled knife crafter friend made for me. We removed the knife clip so the knife would be more pocket/pouch friendly. Love it!

Perfect carry knife. I can't even find the reason this knife wound up in the "blem" pile. The four X's on the blade are neatly placed and not an eyesore at all. That doesn't even matter, though. It's a carry knife. Great tool. I have had a few of the Leeks in the past 10 or 12 years. The Leek has been my go to knife since a friend (good friend) gave me my first one. I tend to lose them before wearing them out, but I had to replace my last one because, after a couple of years of heavy use, the assist "spring" got weak and would no longer fully deploy the blade. I understand that Kershaw will fix it for free. I should probably send it to them.
