I.enjoyed the color footage being a Technicolor and Kodachrome fan plus some great B/W footage the only drawback to me was the narration I found it hard to understand and lrretating especially during the musical moments.

A Totalitarian Hollywood
Very interesting film about the cinema during the Third Reich. Most of their films were escapist entertainment (which Goebbels recognized the need for, especially as it became more and more obvious their defeat was inevitable). Many of their spectacular big budget color film (unheard of previously in Europe) drew inspiraton from Hollywood films like "Gone With the Wind" and "The Wizard of Oz" (films which the masses of German never saw, although Hitler and his elite had access to them). Then of course there was vile propaganda like "Jud Suss" and "Der Ewige Jude" which was often produced under conditions of coercion. Very interesting film about the cinema during the Third Reich.
