I was skeptical after reading in the reviews that this lamp didn't work after a month, the lamp base melted and was a fire hazard, and the the lamp arrived damaged. This lamp is everything it was descibed as being. I love it and it arrived fast with no damages. I leave the lamp on all the time and no melting of the base. it is a beautiful lamp. no way to know if it works all I know is I use the himalayan salt daily and that is VERY good for the swelling of my leg! so makes sense that this would work too. but it is a beautiful lamp I would get it even if it didn't work in a healing way.. :)
