First of all let me state that the idea to search for old and not so old manuscripts and diaries was a brilliant one. Recovering the U.S. Literary History has brought many documents out in the open. I just recently finished reading "La Rebelde" and I learned so much about Border history and culture not to mention the Wealth that had accumulated along the border and the opportunity for a U.S. Education that the wealthy took advantage for their children as well as the connections that they made and took advantage of during the Mexican Revolution. I have not gotten to :A Nation of Women" but I am sure Puerto Rican women also found many obstacle to overcome just as Mexican women did. I look forward to reading that next. The Chicano Research Center in eStockton, California of which I am the founder is collecting all of the references mentioned but am having a difficult time finding # 4. Any help would be appreciated.
