I threw my Milwaukee 3/8 power wratchet and the head part exploded . Never do that. There are tiny pins inside that disappear as well as a C- Clip. The replacement works great but is somewhat difficult to assemble. Center the pawl that reverses the direction of the head and use a socket to hold the part in while pushing down the C- Clip. You will never get the clip in the groove unless you support the back side. Works great again.

Unfortunately parts wear on this type of tool so they must either be repaired or the whole tool replaced. I have found deals to replace the bare tool for $100 or spend about $30 for a simple to install part to repair it. Being an OEM part I trust the quality and fit. I'm sure eventually I will have to replace the tool but for now the motor is good and it was only slipping so repairing it makes the most economic sense. It only took 5 to 10 minutes and now my ratchet works like new.

Used for Milwaukee (2560-20) M12 FUEL 3/8" Extended Ratchet to replace broken 1/4" anvil. Works perfect and is a lot stronger than original 1/4" anvil. I have the (2557-20) M12 FUEL 3/8" Ratchet, but this long reach ratchet with the upgraded 3/8" anvil is my go to now.

I have had the ratchet for seven years and used it many hours . The part listed above finally broke . It works as it did when it was new after installing the new head .
