Overall, I am happy with this laptop. It is blazing fast! The screen is beautiiful! Apparently, from reading the tech site reviews and specs, Acer used the same screen on this machine that Lenovo uses on their high-end $2k laptops. It is heavy. I don't carry it around, basically a desktop replacement, but just sharing that if anyone is planning on carrying it. I find the placement of the power button odd. It is the last 'key' on the right in the top row of 'PF' keys. I've never seen that before. I use a wireless keyboard so it is not an issue but I wonder if someone using the keyboard might accidentally hit it. Occasionally, the wifi will disconnect. I have read this mentioned in other's reviews of this machine elsewhere. Not sure what causes that. You just click the internet Taskbar button and it quickly reconnects or sometimes it reconnects before you even realize it has disconnected. Mostly just a minor nuisance but still, should not be happening. My only real negative is the sound. While watching YT videos, for example, I have to turn the sound up to 65-70 whereas on my previous laptop, 45 would be loud. Additionally, there was some occasional crackling. I followed the troubleshooter, reinstalled the driver and 'disabled sound effects' in the settings and that seems to have fixed it. Still, obviously, not great speakers. I use it plugged in so cannot speak to battery life. I hate that the Win10 latest update removed the ability to change font sizes in Windows. You can now only increase the entire screen by percentages. For people with vision issues, that is an awful change! I am not sure what MS was thinking! Anyway, that is not a fault of this laptop, I am just venting. Absolutely no bloatware! Thanks, Acer! So all in all I am satisfied with this purchase. After having shopped around a lot, to get all these features; SSD, dedicated graphics, 8th gen chip, full 1920x1080 HD, etc., for under $700 was a very good buy.Read full review

What can I say, I like it. I haven't had a lot of opportunity to take advantage of the video subsystem yet, but this thing just runs great and does actually have a decent battery life. So far so good, and YES, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fast, powerful computer. I plan to add a 1 or 2 TB hdd for storage. Oh, and it boots in NO time flat. First SSD I've ever used. Good times!
