I have to say I was skeptical, no so much about lithium but more babyliss as company's like sister Andis and Wahl have dominated everything barbering forever. I typically have 6 different clippers plugged in at a time as each one does something a little different I got tired of unbraiding my cords 24/7 so I decided to go ALL cordless, I wasn't sure about which lithium clipper to get so I bought all the relevant ones on the net, I got the Oster Octane Detachable-Love it, the Andis Supra ZR-they're ok, Wahl Magic Clip-great, Babyliss FX673-greatest clipper I've ever used hands down no doubt, Wahl 5-star cordless adjustable trimmer-good for fade lines too bulky for lining around ears, and finally andis proline (ni-cad) trimmers-love them. The Babyliss FX's the Wahl guards will fit even better then on the Wahls, also the Andis magnetic will fit side to side but not up and down but doesn't interfere with function. The Babyliss FX's are almost dead quiet and slice through hair like it's not there, they also hold a great charge, if I have one complaint it is they don't have a charging dock that they can sit in, this isn't a prob for me but maybe others some people like to hear the hair cutting for fade work again they are quite, otherwise they are a slam dunk and my Favorite.Read full review

I own every cordless clipper that is out and none of them hit the mark 100% across the board . This clipper has been discontinued from what I’ve read. Babyliss is putting all its marketing into the other fx models. Looks wise nowhere near as sharp as the other model. Shaped well and balanced. Power is as good or better than any other clipper. Cutting and top blade I personally feel is the best out there. The life of the clipper seems to vary in each one. The power switch is kinda ehh and doesn’t glide. Good for and hair type. It’s a shame this clipper isn’t used by a lot of people or given a chance. I think if the housing was changed and a couple small tweaks babyliss would hit another home run with this clipper.

Other reviews note switch-placement as a problem and it is. Switch is near bottom of case and it’s somewhat difficult to move it from on to off. Also troubling is the slippery feel of the case. Feels like it could be dropped if grip were relaxed at any time while using. Otherwise it works as well (or better than) Wahl Magic Clips. So at roughly half the cost of the Wahl clippers it might be a good value.

Good cutting clippers , battery is decent , not super sharp but gets the job done !! These are not some 20 dollar walmart cordless clippers , Babyliss Pro is a nice set of clips . I dont really like the on/off switch way in the back but other then that there pretty smooth .
