I’m having it shipped to my brother, who has terminal cancer. He is unable to eat solids, so he has to live on liquids. The “Gainer” gives him more calories. I wish this product came in more flavors. He doesn’t care for the chocolate, and would like to see it in strawberry.

I am a muscle milk fanatic, and I go thru a lot of the original for extra calories, so I thought id try the gainer and see if it made more sense for me. Well, after doing a side by side comparison, I realized almost every single % was the same except the calories, which I figured out was almost pure sugar. So the gainer is pretty much just regular muscle milk with over double the amount of sugar. Even the taste and consistency seem that way. Maybe the calories from sugar work for some people, but for a high matabolism like mine, running on that much sugar makes me feel awful and then crash hard. So I will be sticking with the original from now on. Hope this helps.
