I was taking 500 MG of regular Rugby Niacin 2 - 3 times a day on my doctor's recommendation, for controlling my cholesterol. Actually his recommendation was 300 MG 3 times a day but I hadn't found the strength I wanted. My experience in general with reducing my bad cholesterol has been very positive, quite successful. But the 3 times a day was more than I wanted to keep track of so I decided to try the timed release in a strength that would cover the whole day. I don't notice a flush from these but a subtle sense of almost having a flush shortly after taking it. I have no idea if it's working well on my cholesterol levels but I would expect it is. I'm satisfied with the product. Rugby has a good reputation, and it's a lot more convenient than 3 times a day.

+++++ I'm not a medical professional -- I am just a patient with low HDL. My HDL was extremely low. I have taken this product for a couple of years and my HDL is now nearly normal. This product also seems to help lower my LDL. This product was sold at a great price and delivery was very prompt.

This helps keep my cholesterol levels down. I bought it because of the strength per tablet, 1000mg., and the low cost. It seems to work as well as any other brand I have tried.
