I came across the CVID converter box while looking for a way to use a German Commodore Amiga 500 in the USA. I bought several products claiming to convert PAL to NTSC at too-good-to-be-true prices from various sellers and not a single one worked. When I came across this product at just under $50 I thought it was a bit expensive, but compared to the competition it was about half the price. So I bit the hook and ordered one. I am a price conscious shopper who does not take a $50 purchase lightly. While my expectations were low, I kept my fingers crossed. The item arrived and set up was very straight forward. Plug the USB cable and HDMI into your LCD TV and attach a SCART or HDMI from the PAL game or computer system and it just works. I was able to test it using a Sega Saturn as well as the aforementioned Amiga Computer, with a nice, crisp video output. For half the money you would spend on a similar device, the CVID converter is unbeatable. The only downside is the lack of composite input/output. But for the money saved you could easily purchase an adapter.Read full review

No matter what tv/converter settings I change the image is always cut off. For $50 which is twice as much of a used working Sega, this should work after a few settings adjusted, I tried multiple TVs, games. Always cut image
