I play every week in front of 1000-1200 people. I was using the Geddy Lee jazz bass every weekend show and recently bought this bass. I will not leave for a gig without this bass with me now. It sounds amazing live. I haven't been able to see what it sounds like yet in the studio but i'm sure that it sounds amazing. I am playing this though a dunlop mxr DI, tuner, and volume pedal...THATS IT! You will not need any effects or any kind of sound enanching pedals with this bass. You can shape the tone perfectly with this bass. And the low B is something that i wish the Geddy had... bottom line, this is my new bass for all my gigs...
Love this BASS!!! The pictures do not do show the beauty of the paint job. I was expecting a satin finish but it is matte, so that is new to me but I do really like it. This bass has some weight to it, so when you are holding it you can feel the awesome quality and sturdiness of the mahogany wood. The 5 piece neck and fingerboard is like butter, just beautiful. Awesome tone with the active EMS's. Bridge, knobs and tuning pegs all are great quality as well. I took it to a guitar tech to see if it needed additional set up. He too was struck by the beauty and quality, and said that it was perfect as is. Took a leap of faith with this my first 5-string and it has exceeded all expectations.

The Look and Feel of This Guitar Is Outstanding! If It Had Individual Controls For The Hi's, Mids, and Lows, It Would Be AWESOME!
