The 1080 is a high performing card able to deliver 60fps or higher on almost any game at 1440. But compared to the Gigabyte card I upgraded from, this Nvidia Founders Edition runs warm and needs quite a bit of fan. It throttles above 83C, so I have it tuned to hit full fan at 80C and after tuning my case fans a bit (I have 5 case fans) I can keep it to 72C with about 80% on the GPU fan when fully loaded. But even 80% on the GPU fan is not quiet - that is 3,500 rpm. I am not overclocking because of the heat and noise it would take to do so, but ordered an Arctic aftermarket cooler because...geek, and am hoping to OC it after having better cooling. This used card was a good value so the $50 for the aftermarket cooler seems like a reasonable strategy to prolong the life of the card, enable some OC and hopefully quiet it down a bit.Read full review

I have not tested the card yet but upon pulling it out of the box that was not packed well at all, the waterblock is scratched and the io shield on the card is bent. Will tear down the block and check how the rest of the card looks. Edit: I have cleaned the waterblock and thoroughly tested the card now. Card performs great, actually meets the performance of my evga gtx1080 ftw. Memory overclocks higher than my ftw card which surprised me. Card stays around 44c while running. I had to buy new thermal pads for it as the ones that were on it seemed to be too thick. The terminal block screws were stripped going into the waterblock but it doesn't leak, hopefully it won't cause any issues further down the line. Overall good purchases for the price.

So far noticed no problems and a significant upgrade from my old r9 290. Works well in my alienware graphics amp and came way sooner than the date provided with shipping which was awesome as well. It does get hot but not above what over FE cards go so as expected on that end. Even came with all the manuals and the nvidia sticker so bonus points for that cause it looks nice on my laptop.

I have no complaints about the product. It has been able to handle video settings set to max in any application or game I am working with. It is easily as good as advertised.
