It may do something positive; if it does it's yet to prove – "really prove" anything. I want to believe, so I will say yes. I don't know that it's not effective. The new units were a bit pricy so I looked for a new one. I've used them before at the therapist office and they work great. I was lucky to find this one at a fraction of the cost of a new one so I gave it a shot and the thing works as good as a brand new one. It's a great thing to have.

This is the best infrared device out there! I bought two 20 years ago, gave one to a friend and the one that I had wore out. It is a shame that the company went out of business, because they were way ahead of their time in creating this great product. I'm just happy that I can find a Light Relief on ebay!

20 years ago i bought my 1st one new from the company. It died under the 2 yr mark and & co. replaced. My experience is that they last 2 1/2 to 3 yrs & then die. they are great for artritis etc. I use mine every day. They need to be made to last longer. Other machines Ive bought still work years later.
