Medical treatment for cancer has cost me a lot of muscle strength in My legs. My recliner is not solid enough to push off of to get up standing.. This provides a platform where I can use my arms to push myself up standing

It may work well for others; however, for my couch it did not fit well. My couch is deep and for my husband who has Parkinson, it wasn't a good item. If I put it on top of the cushion, it came up with him as he tried to stand. If I put it under the cushion, the legs stuck out from the couch itself and was a hazard for tripping for him. At this point I'm not using it. I don't believe I can return it.

Not a great fit for chairs made for 'bigger' people. Spring detemt not strong enough to pop back out. I'll drill through and replace with a bolt. Otherwise, easy too assemble, light and seems like it should be good for providing a little help getting up.

This has been a great help for getting up from the recliner that tips way too far forward when trying to stand. It provides a steady and secure push up point. It would be wonderful if the manufacturer would consider a lower price point for this as it is high and prohibits some who could really benefit from it from being able to purchase.
