I have used NOW essential oils for years, but no longer live near a health food store where they can be bought. Finding them on eBay ended my need to hunt around for something suitable. Essential oils have long been known for their healing and remedial properties for good health. NOW produces a very comprehensive product line so it's easy to find an oil you need. Essential oils come in very handy for home remedies and treatments - for people and pets. For example, my Jack Russell has terrible flea allergies, and when the vet refused to issue a prescription to ease his misery, it was time for Plan B. I made a mix of water and tea tree oil and sprayed on his affected parts. In a short time, he stopped scratching and chewing as much, and with continued applications, his torment has pretty much gone away. This works great to treat acne. I have mixed a few drops in my toner and moisturizer and I also use it as a spot treatment. In just a couple of weeks there is a very noticeable difference in my skin. It is also great if you have dry itchy scalp. Just mix a little with your deep conditioner.

I moved to a very buggy place and use Tea Tree oil to both repel biting insects and to sooth bites when I, or my kids, get bit or stung. Other brands don't seem as potent, like it takes more oil and the effects wear off quicker. This is just anecdotal, but I think NOW brand is a higher quality or a higher concentration because it works better than other brands I've tried.
