I discovered Clinique's Moisture Surge when I picked up a small sample sized jar at an estate sale. It was not only silky smooth while applying it, it made adding the foundation on top of it super easy to spread. I am in my late 60's and found my skin to be drier than ever. I looked up how old this batch of Clinique moisturizer Moisture. surge was and discovered it was produced in 2014..which makes it 5 years old. I LOVE this product..but it has been discontinued..which is why I ordered it on eBay. I don’t know what country it came from.and hope it still works. The reason I am giving it 3 stars I’d because it is outdated. The product itself is very good for my dry skin.

PROS: Cooling light & non oily moisturizer that disappears into your skin. It has helped get rid of dry areas under my nose & at corners of my mouth. CON: No SPF sun protection. I really like this moisturizer except for the lack of sun protection;would have given 5 stars if it had sun protection. It is also quite expensive for my budget.

Suitable for normal to oily skin types
This gel cream was gentle on my face and had a sort of cooling effect on it when I put it on. My skin type is extremely dry and this lotion, though very good in quality, was not creamy enough to leave my face moisturized. When I put it on, my face still ended up getting dry later in the day. I believe this product would be most effective for people with normal to oily skin types. Gel creams usually are helpful to those skin types, as they prevent oil and such from building up on the face. Yet, if you have dry skin, I do not recommend this product. I do recommend Bare Escentuals Purely Nourishing moisturizer: dry skin or Clinique's Dramatically Different moisturizer. I have tried these two products and they are the best ones I have found for combating against dry skin and leaving one's skin feeling moisturized and soft.Read full review

Clinique Moisture Surge - Best Moisturizer Available
This oil free moisturizer will protect your skin from drying out during the day. It is the perfect first step prior to applying makeup or foundation. I have been using it for over a decade with total confidence. The smallest amount on the tip of one finger will cover your entire face. So one of these small jars will last for two months. I save money buying these sample jars on Ebay rather than paying $50,00+ in a department store for a larger jar.
