I got this unit with replaces an RQ 10 for my Phllips Arcitec shaver. It was substantially more expensive than the former part. Pros: - really good shave - the blades only can be replaced (although they are almost as expensive as the whole unit) Cons - the shaver with the new shaving head no longer fits into the charger dolly. The only way to recharge is by taking the head off completely and I'm not sure if doing that repetitively will eventually lead to it loosening up. - still is quite expensive for even just the blades.

The price was good, but it doesn't hold the blades well, so it makes a lot of noise. I replace the blades roughly every 6-months, always with OEM, and keep the last set 'just in case' Trying this holder with either brand new, or the older blades, all provide the same results. I've actually gone-back to using the old base - it has problems too, but those are minor compared with this product

Philips stopped producing the RQ12, and this is the replacement. However, it is not an upgrade. It does not shave as smoothly, cut as closely and not as easy to clean. So, worse performance in all areas. Luckily, the RQ12 was really quite good so this product, although inferior, still is better than average. As the only real option, you either have to settle for less or change razors.

It’s some kind of a knock off it it does not shave good I wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone it doesn’t work anything like the original head if I knew it wasn’t the same as the one on the razor I wouldn’t have ordered it this is absolute junk I thought it was a Norelco head it’s not a Norelco head it comes in the box that says Norelco but it’s not Norelco I thought maybe Norelco gave them a contract to make their head but this is an absolute joke this same product is advertised for eight dollars but I thought that it was coming from Norelco because of the box $8.53 is what it sells for and another site probably same company

Not sure if these were real Philips Norelco replacement heads?? Came in original box, heads were sealed. As soon as changed it out makes horrible grinding noise and they pull. Not smooth at all out of box. Took apart and compared to my authentic ones and build quality is very bad. They do not appear to be authentic. If Philips quality control has gotten this bad then I will no longer buy their products. Pretty sure these are knock offs.
