This book starts out by covering general principles of herbs in a very through and informative manner. It then goes thru herb harvesting and preparing your own medicine chest. Following this are numerous chapters covering various groups of remedies like hair care or skin care. For any given condition, there are typically several different remedies given. Where a given substance or item (i.e., strawberries) might pose a potential problem for some people, a very informative warning is given. After receiving my first copy of this book, I found one of my sons reading it to explore potential remedies to help his girlfriend with a condition. After reading my copy for several minutes, my son asked me to buy him a copy so he could share it with his girlfriend and so he'd have his own once he gets his own place. In my opinion, anyone that works with herbs and/or wishes to use home remedies to supplement medical care from their doctor should have a copy of this book!Read full review
This is a perfect book and it’s just what I needed to study herbalism and to help my mom with her health problems.

What a treasure-trove of useful information! I have found the that information is easy to follow and the recipes are ones that seems to be easy enough to do at home without needing alot of supplies that you don't already have - except maybe scents or herbs. I recommend as a great source if you are inclined to what to make these recipes yourself.
