If you're a fan of Connelly's other Harry Bosch novels you will find this one an enjoyable read. It follows a typical Michael Connely format with Harry Bosch getting involved and having multiple difficulties, especially with the FBI in this one. The body of a Physicist is found at the overlook on Mullholland Drive and Bosch is called in and immediately takes over and begins to unravel the details. This is a very fast read (about 225 pgs) and those move by at a very fast pace. The read moves quickly because the entire story takes place in the span of about one day. In fact, if I had to complain about one thing from this book it would be that it was slightly short. I thought it could have easily used up about 50-100 more pages to go into a bit more detail on some things. Overall though, I give it an 8 out of 10. You won't be sorry you purchased this one.Read full review
I purchased this book for my husband to read on our beach vacation. He is an avid reader and loves the Michael Connelly Harry Bosch books, since this was the latest book in that series it was an easy choice to make. He said it was a good book, but not nearly as good as some of the other Harry Bosch's...about middle of the road. It was also perfect for vacation, as it was a very quick and easy read. He said he would purchase it again and always looks forward to the next Harry Bosch book in the series.
Great book by a great author

Very well crafted story, had to discipline myself to read only part each Day so I would not finish it too soon!

The Bosch detective stories are some of the greatest stories I know of. Start at the beginning and enjoy the next 20 years of stories.
