First off...keeping in mind this only cost me $30, all my comments are based on the amount of money I actually paid for this item, as opposed to the non-discounted original price of $149.99. The two biggest factors in my decision to purchase this was the ridiculous price discount and the long battery life. On those two issues it gets a 5+ review. Having said that, when it comes to the quality of sound and features my rating is less. It is actually lighter in weight than it looks. Its awkward hung around my neck but I don't intend to use it that way so that isn't a big deal. I am not impressed at all with the microphone. Its a low quality dynamic mic, so you should expect to keep your mouth right up against it for it to pick up any sound at all. And even then the mic sounds pretty poor. No midrange and very muddy. If your just using it the way its intended for casual talking as its intended it will amplify your voice okay I guess. The sound quality if the actual speaker unit lacks low frequency response, but it could be because this unit is designed for talking into and not just music playback so that makes sense I guess. I do like the high end response very much and actually, overall I am content with the tone of this unit as a Bluetooth speaker. The thing I am most pleased with was the fact that I bought this to use as an inexpensive outdoor portable acoustic guitar amp. And after testing it out with my guitar today in that regard I am pleased. Not just because of the $30 dollar price, but because it has that 50 hour battery life you cant get anywhere in any portable guitar amp. Using a little headphone preamp plugged into my six string then straight in this Denon Dispatch I have the least expensive longest lasting lightweight simplest portable set up for jamming at picnics, bbqs, camping, just anywhere at all. Now as a straight Bluetooth speaker it does have some shortcomings. The volume buttons only function with the microphone and NOT with Bluetooth at all. And as I said, there isn't a lot of bass response from the 5" woofer inside. I would be disappointed if I had paid the regular price, but for 30 bucks Im okay with the sound. I have many other high end Bluetooth speakers from JBL and Harmon Kardon but they cost 5 to 10 times as much as this Denon. Im keeping it. It sounds decent, I like the design and built-in handle, the 50 hour battery life (on just a five hour charge)...and the ridiculously cheap price. Sweet deal.Read full review

This thing is an insanely great value for the price: it's solid, it sounds good, it's easy to use; it accepts line in, mic in (mic is even included) and of course Bluetooth. The Bluetooth range is good enough it works from 2 rooms away; exceeding expectations. The controls are large and easy to access. It comes with a shoulder strap so you can go mobile; it would be great for rallies or demonstrations or parades or wherever you need to be heard; way better than a megaphone. The bluetooth quality is also very good sounding. The case seems to be well made, and the design makes it easy to carry. I'm impressed with it overall.

This speaker is great for meetings and announcements that would normally require louder, potentially yelling. Sound is great, and user friendly.
