Both this album and DMX's 2nd album are among the best hip hop has to offer. It shows the raw emotion and excited energy that an artist feels when they finally "break through" and get an opportunity to share their talents with the world. My only complaint is that there aren't more like them these days. If you want to experience a great hip hop album, be sure to pick up this one.
DMX came tru on this album. This was the album that catapaulted him to the tippy top. The beats were well made, and the lyric from D, whoo. CRAZY. This is that record you place on your way to the club or to your favorite girls house cos it accommodates both. You can even play some tracks with elderly people in the car cos it is that mellow. DMX put it down. Thus it went platinum
This is by far his best album ever! So good that I bought it again 13 years later. Yeah I could of DL the good songs but thats every song on the album. If you were to young when this album came out and haven't heard all the songs then your in for a treat. This DMX CD will hype you up in your home, car, or at the gym. GET IT!! If you don't like it I'll buy it from you!!
Great CD but make sure you are getting the real deal and not the 1997 or 2007 version. rare too.

If you love DMX this album is a good one to have. One of my favorites in the DMX collection. Each song has his same rough voice and tone as in Flesh of My Flesh, Blood Of My Blood. Perhaps not quite as graphic or obscene as the first; The tone is a bit more mellow; soft. I would rate this album a close second to Flesh.
