It is a very good book. It started out sounding like the pandemic we are experiencing now. it is very hard to put down. It only took me about six days to finish reading it. i am getting ready to start reading volume two. would recommend it very much.

Very different type of story by Nora Roberts. The first book begins the start of an entire new world when a terrible virus takes most of the life on earth. It’s the beginning of a new type of life with humans and magical beings trying to live together. Really compelling story showing the way humans can survive even in dire conditions. She shows life on both sides with the darkness as well as the light coming through as the different beings learn to survive together. Loved the first book and can’t wait for the second in December

This is the first Nora Roberts book I have read. I read a lot of books of this genre and I liked it very much. And let me tell you....I just finished book 2 "Of Blood and Bone" and it was abosolutely awesome. So read this one so you can get to book 2!!!
