I've had one of these feeders for a few years now. It has held up nicely to the weather here in Arizona. Every so often I need to replace the sock. Although it has a lid on it, if it rains a lot, a small amount of water will seep in. However, my lid is slightly warped anyway. The rain is not a big problem here in the desert. I feel the sock feeders are better than a feeder with only a small hole for the birds to feed. I've tried both and to me the sock feeder is better. This feeder has lasted for a few years now with no problems. I just keep on replacing the sock when it wears out. I get mostly Lesser Goldfinches on my feeder, sometimes the sock is covered with finches. I like it so much, I'm buying a second one for another location. I feel it has given me good service and I'm very satisfied with it.Read full review

I have found the finches like to eat from a sock better than a feeder and Kaytee sock feeder makes it much easier to fill , It looks nice, I'm very happy I bought the Kaytee feeder.
