Wow this is truly a great product for the price, I was completely surprised by not only the quality but the size. It's one of those things you look at and wonder how there is a profit to be made from the material used to the craftsmanship. I'm so excited to have my first experience with the Purple Martin's, I live on a small farm with a small pond and the insects are overwhelming. After research I decided the best natural insect control appears to be these birds.

For the high cost of the bird house, I expected it to have great workmanship, however, the quality of the material in the partitions was of pressed wood and the roof had knots in it, one which was ready to fall out.

Disappointed
I am/was really disappointed in the workmanship. Also, arrived with one side of the roof warped so bad it couldn't be screwed on flat and the other side was broke in half. There were knots and I think it may have split at that point when it warped.
