I put these on my first bass boat, and on my second bass boat, and now on my third bass boat. They are of good quality and easy to install. Unlike the stretch strap and hook eye, there is nothing to cause pain if stepped on with bare feet. One thing I will say is, if drilling into aluminum, don't use a 1/8th inch drill or run the risk of breaking off the screw head. I use 5/32, and the screws hold just fine. 1/8th might be fine for fiberglass and/or wood, but not aluminum.
