I wanted a 3x Prism scope to mount to my S&W M&P15 Sport II rifle and it was a toss up between Primary Arms & Vortex. PA has a way better reticle IMO then the Vortex and is $60 cheaper. Rugged construction and is fairly heavy and will add another 1lb to your setup. Cons: 1)Heavy 2)Only red reticle No Green? 3) Turret Caps need the standard steel cable tethers not rubber 4) mount base is heavy and looks a little cheap, wish there was a qd mount supplied. 5) Reticle is almost to small, wish it was 1.5x or 2x larger. Very hard to use the tiny marks for gauging at a distance. Any smaller and I'd probably have returned it and got the Vortex w/ it's inferior reticle. Pros: 1) Price 2) Clear Glass 3) Clear reticle 4) Etched Reticle into Glass 5) #11 brightness settings 5) Removable height shim & top picatinny rail 6) Nitrogen purged 7) Coated lens 8) Fog resistant 9) Adjustable fast focus eyepiece 10) IMO decent eye relief: 2.5"-3" 11) Click value 0.25MOA 12) Lifetime Warranty 12) Comes with flip up lens coversRead full review

This is a good scope overall but the radical is very small.

Love this scope. The reticle helps get those long shots on point while being able to also quickly acquire your target at close range.
