I'm a Starcraft 2 player, and after many years of using standard optical mice, I decided it was time for a real gaming mouse. The G400 definitely didn't disappoint. It has incredibly smooth tracking and precision, something I didn't even know I was missing out on with other mice. It glides well on every surface except glass, and has nice comfortable buttons and grips that can be used for many hours. My only complaint is on the left side where my thumb sits - after about 6-8 months it started rubbing down to the plastic beneath, but still feels fine. So be wary if you are looking for a long term mouse, but maybe it's just my acidic zombie fingers of doom!!!
With this mouse being the true successor to the mx518 how could you go wrong? The only other build design that might be able to compete with it is the Steelseries rival Mouse ‑ Fnatic Edition. But why pay upwards of $80 when you can get this amazing mouse for less than half the price?

What more can you ask about this mouse? Best sensor, best shape for big hands (claw/finger grip). Look for units with a Serial Number (S/N), they don't have angle snapping (not what you're looking when pro gaming). It's simply the best mouse ever made by logitech (I loved the mx 5XX line too ^^)

Can't beat the g400. Logitech really hit the nail on the head with this one. Will be the one and only mouse I use until a true successor comes by.
