I bought this because it was an inexpensive alternative to the flashy mp3 players out there. It has a great sound, excellent battery life, its fairly loud, has a very nice Equalizer, a readable screen, and most importantly, a clip that allows for running, biking, workouts, and of course, Hardstyle Melbourne Shuffle. I like its sound, battery life and clip. It was "refurbished" but when it arrived it was flawless, the screen is truly mirror finish. The lock button is a much needed feature, and it has yet to accidentally get dropped because the clip is so easy to use. However, it does have a tendency to freeze when disconnecting from your computer. Nothing that is too difficult to solve- just turn off and on again. Also, i should have gotten more than 4GB. But that is just me, nothing against SANSA. The screen is a tad small, not ridiculous though. Honestly, it compares just fine with others. A very good first mp3 player purchase, when you look at how pricey the alternatives can get.Read full review
This tiny (real tiny!) thing is very convenient to walk with - it has a clips to secure the player on wearing(decently strong and reliable, by the way). The sound is excelent, it is not very loud (wouldn't expect use it with 300 Ohm's headphones) but very clean especially when you NOT using any equalizer. 4 Gigabytes of non-expandable memory absolutelly sufficient for a walk. The screen is tiny but readable in the bright conditions - and, I I must say - is essential (phew to iPod Shuffle). Weakest part - is original firmware which oriented only for "songs", "Albums" and so and incapable just to play the next album if have another "Artist" tag. Fortunatedly, there is RockBox firmware that makes this tiny thing very capable gadget. If you want to expand storage, see at Clip+ with micro sd slot of Fuse.Read full review
I picked up this mp3 player for a friend who loves the Sansa Clip, lost her old one, doesn't shop online, and has a limited income. I watched for quite a while for a good deal for her. She loves this little mp3 player. It handles music well (what mp3 player doesn't?) but more important, it's great for audio books. It's small, light and convenient. The clip allows her to keep it secure even when she doesn't have a pocket to put it in. Sansa doesn't require proprietary software to sync it's players (unlike Zune and iPod) so adding music and/or audio books can bed done either through Windows Media Player, or drag and drop in Windows Explorer. Too bad the major players won't drop their crappy interface software for simple sync operations. LOVE Sansa!
Like every other review, the sound is great coming from a small player. The silver style makes a nice look for the player. Though navigating through the menu would take some time in getting use too, for me since i would using another player for awhile. But overall simple and easy to use. highly recommended to anyone.
I bought this Sansa Clip Digital Media Player for my son for Christmas. I looked at brick and mortar stores in my area and none that I saw had the same GB's as the one I bought at eBay. He loves it. I see him using it all the time. I have a 2 GB Sansa Clip and love mine so thought I would get him one as well. It was a great gift, cost me less than most I have seen so he got more for Christmas because I spent less on this gift.
