The compass needle magnet is so weak that it takes a very long time to turn to magnetic north. The reticle wire had a tag sticking up from under one of the screws and the screw was not tightened to retain the wire as it was wound around and lapped over itself. All of these problems are easily rectified if the manufacturer could be contacted. Otherwise, it could be a good value product well worth the low price!

This compass was inexpensive but it was worth less. It is not metal, it is not liquid filled, it is just not as advertised. I do not recommend it to anyone. I buy many things on line and I have never before given a negative review.

I think it's a little rickety, but for the price it is okay. I use it for checking watch movements.

It's a cheap compass - and it works. It's lightweight and while lacking the inch-scale straight-edge on the side that military and other knock-offs usually have, it's a reasonably decent compass for the price, and one that you won't feel to bad about losing out of the canoe or whatever. It does the job for a very reasonable price.
