I like the Contour Roam 2. I own it. I use it. It is well-made aluminum enclosure, water resistant. I have a 32 GB card in mine and works great. You don't need a separate enclosure as with goPro. I think the Go Pro video quality is slightly better, but this makes up for that in versatility and durability in my opinion. 1080p is nice quality at 30fps. I recommend learning to edit the preferences file in a text editor, because the app support is limited. You can make this work for you with extra effort. The software isn't so practical, so use your own. Blue color is unusual for a camera, but looks cooler than a drab goPro. the mounts for Contour Roam2 are excellent, and many options too, plus a 1/4 20 thread mount for standard tripod too. I've dropped it and it still works. No viewfinder. I don't need it, the wide angle picks up whatever you point it at. If you format several different cards manually with a text editor you can have custom settings for each card. Like a still photo card, and a video 1080p card for example. I've experimented with settings to get just the look I want. Cool camera, if you put in the work to learn it. Mono sound, no clipping.Read full review
