I have tried the other commercially available brands tap purifier ___The Other Brand It screws on to the tap of your sink, mine kept cross threading and spraying water everywhere. I went to go remove it and it would not budge. Extremely annoying, I had to smash and break it to remove it. Sorry Other Brand your products are not user kind. ___The PUR Water Filter It snaps on to your tap. That's it! It has an easy to use lever that allows you to chose filtered or non-filtered water and a lit gauge to show if the filter needs changing. My vote is for the sink filtration system by PUR. Cost is comparable on both companies, I happen to like to drink my water not fight with the system to give it up.

I think this is attractive and very clean looking, it's affordable and apparently does a good job. My Wife insists on using it for brushing Her teeth because We live in the country and have a well, but the whole house 25 micron filter and the silicon pellet water softener isn't enough filtration because of all the sulfur and iron oxide that gets past those devices. Being an old codger I can't smell it but My Wife says she can and so We have one of these in the bathroom for her use. This is the 3rd one I've bought because they seem to only last 3 to 5 years before some odd leak starts squirting where We don't want it. I think they are a good value and give people peace of mind.

I was not able to find this in any of our local stores, so I was very glad to find it on eBay. I have used one for a number of years and it finally got a crack in it, so I was eager to replace it. It arrived quickly and was in excellent condition.

I've been using pur filter water filtration systems for years and it's very essential to my house hold to always have one mounted and working so just keep them new ideas coming, thank you.

This vertical model was replaced by a new design in which the filter tank was horizontal. It looked nice, but (at least on our kitchen faucet) when it was filtering water - it continued to drip for some length of time after turning the water off. That was extremely annoying! The older (vertical) model of which we had two - never did that. We, therefore, threw away the newer model after this vertical model arrived in the post. However, with regard to the filtering process, both models make a huge difference in the taste of the water. The filter process is really first-class!
