The pump was sticking OFF at times. The old switch was clicking fine but the float would not engage it all of the time. The plastic float did not have a leak or anything like this. The rubber starts to get stiff where the arm exists the switch. I read this online. I really couldn't feel that much of a difference actuating it manually. The new switch assembly did the trick as it has never stuck since replacement. The old one would work for a week at a time then not actuate out of the blue.

Switch on my Zoeller M53 sump pump was acting up. Sometimes it would run for days without a hiccup, then wouldn't behave until you manually worked the rod up a down a few times. This got real old, real fast. This was a perfect replacement that included the upper housing with gasket, switch, rod, and the rod seal or bellows as a complete assembly. Fit was perfect, and after a quick pressure test, it was placed back into service. Total down time: about 30 minutes. Excellent.

All I needed to replace was the switch, but found online that if you replace the switch you should also replace the switch arm and seal that attaches to the float. The switch itself is about 32.00 in most of the searches I was finding and the arm and seal was about 10-12 dollars. This has everything I need and includes a brand new cap for a great price.

The assembly gasket was missing from the kit and had to make a special trip to hardware store before repair could be made. Just had to take old top switch assembly off and screw new assembly on. Works very good.
