The GPS has an alarm to tell you when the speed limit drops, but it doesn't have one when it goes back up again. Other alarms (all mutable) warn of curves, railroad tracks, etc. Traffic jams show up in cities that broadcast them. However, it's very difficult to save a location since there are a lot of keystrokes to get to that area. It took me months to find it.

Voice activation is terrible. Don't bother using it. Only thing I like about this model better than my previous is the 7 inch screen. Way too much money for this device. The bluetooth doesn't work very well. Very disappointed about the traffic feature which is the main reason I bought this device, it is unreliable and I still have to use Waze.

98% of the time, this works perfectly, directing me through the shortest route to my destination. It is invaluable. 2% of the time, it gives me a runaround. I recommend having a look at MapQuest or some similar product before you undertake a serious trip. The last time I had a problem was a couple of weeks ago. I was trying to find an extended family reunion at a site near the crest of Spruce Knob, the highest point in WV. The unit let me enter the geographic coordinates of the site (no address up there, lol), but it's idea of where roads were up there was comic. There is no cell service to use to call for directions up there! As dusk became night, I was making circles in the campground; the unit though a road to the target location lay through a camp site. I drove out of the campground and drove around the sides of a parallelogram in the dark, trying to find an alternative path to the site. I saw a young black bear run across the road, and wondered where mama bear was. The unit brought me to a fire access road that obviously hadn't had a vehicle on it in years, judging by the size of the small trees growing in the 'road.' The unit thought the target was only a few hundred yards away, but the 'road' was steep and undriveable without 4WD, and between the drizzle and the bear(s), I wasn't about to hoof it over that 'road.' I gave up and drove home using the unit, with no problem.Read full review

The unit itself is great. The only thing I really don't like is not being able to change the dashboard. In previous models and some of the even newer models. This feature exists. That's the only draw back. Things I lover are the ability to link my smartphone to the unit via Bluetooth. Makes finding address a breeze. Also having advanced traffic and weather is really great. I've not once had an issue with it not connecting. Such a huge help. The lane assistance could work a little better not knowing what lanes you need to be in well in advance are frustrating but all in all its a good unit. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone.
After Having several brands of GPS thru the years This is the best one I`ve had.I brought this unit Years ago and really Liked the Size of the Viewing area, Nice to be able to see where You`re going.Free Map Updates is a Plus also. I use this in my second vehicle and was Glad to find a unit in great condition and had the accessories.
