Somewhere around an hour in length, this video does a great job explaining the resurgence in appreciation for typewriters, particularly manual ones. Each segment focuses on a different facet, from why professional writers continue choosing to use them over computers to how they're being used to teach today's kids to why business at typewriter repair shops has had a marked upswing to how their intrinsic characteristics should ensure their continued survival in a world otherwise crowded by seemingly more advanced technology. People familiar with the Typosphere will recognize frequent contributions by the enthusiastic and eminently knowledgable Richard Polt. It's a great documentary film for those who already know a lot about these wonderful machines and those who don't. It's very much worth getting, watching, and sharing!Read full review
